Gregg Cooper was born and raised in Encino, a suburb of Los Angeles, California.  He has owned and occupied various residences while living and working in Southern California.  Gregg moved his family from the Los Angeles area to Madera County in 2002 affording him an opportunity to design and build his own home.  He and his wife built three more custom homes in the Foothills of Madera, between Fresno and Yosemite National Park.  Gregg, his wife, and two children still reside in one of the homes.

Mr. Cooper started appraising real estate when living in Southern California, in fact, Gregg has been appraising since 1982.  Before obtaining his certified residential state license in 1992, Gregg had appraised all types of real estate.  Since 1992, he has focused primarily on one to four unit residential appraisals.  Mr. Cooper became a real estate broker in 1986.  His experiences as a broker and developer have improved his appraising skills by providing him a broader perspective on the appraisal process.

Gregg graduated from Cal State Northridge with an emphasis in Finance/Real Estate, and has taken numerous post graduate real estate courses.  The courses included: Expert Witness, FHA reporting, Narrative Report Writing, Capitalization, as well as Small Income Property Appraising.   Mr. Cooper has taught and been a mentor for other appraisers entering the field during his illustrious career.
